Job Title: Materials Program Manager

Responsibilities:
Develops program plan and oversees from conception and planning to implementation, including strategies, processes and resources.  Ensures objectives are clearly defined and agreed to across the PBG through complete MSR and engineering specs. Responsible for managing schedules and task details by utilizing project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklist and project scheduling software. Manages allocated resources from other organizations to achieve on-time and within budget performance objectives for the program. Manages cost schedule performance of equipment for internal and external customers and vendors worldwide. Leads multifunctional design teams comprised of internal, external and/or matrixed headcount.  Provides technical leadership to team members to achieve program goals Interfaces and coordinates with customers to define objectives, provide status updates and prepare for release and deployment. Provides engineering and business process expertise to team and other members on various programs/issues. Identifies and resolves potential complications within the program and develops solutions for resolution. Manages matrixed employees; contributes to effective performance management, employee development and retention.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
Strong skills in change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills, and quality.  Demonstrated ability in Human Resources Management and Leadership.  Requires proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, Oracle BOM, Oracle NSR, Oracle ECO, FRACAS and PST.

Job Specific Knowledge and Experience:
10+ years related experience to include 5+ years demonstrated supervisory / leadership experience. M.S. level degree in a related engineering discipline or an MBA. Demonstrated success in organizing and managing multiple programs/projects with successful results. This position is in the Solar Business Group.

Job Title:  Materials Program Manager

Responsibilities:
Forecasts and communicates engineering, materials and manufacturing requirements to suppliers. Makes outsourcing decisions by performing make / buy analysis. Coordinates demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure. Forms Materials Core Team and coordinates product development process deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control. Creates, releases, and updates new project materials strategy. Assists in supplier price and delivery negotiations. Utilizes the preferred supplier selection and assessment process when selecting suppliers. Completes supplier risk assessment on critical and unique parts suppliers. Monitors supplier performance (delivery, quality, and cost). Executes commercialization (transition) materials plan. Manages materials change control process and may drive changes to project management process. Works with engineering to identify preliminary critical parts, long-lead parts and inspection requirements. Develops supplier and commodity road maps to engineering. Resolves quality issues and meets cost objectives. Generates and publishes Key Process Indicators (KPI). Develops and executes programs in order to meet cost objectives and establishes and tracks cost targets. Utilizes value analysis on build-to-print components in support of Should Analysis.

Requirements:
Requires a B.S. level degree or equivalent in business, purchasing, materials, distribution, supply chain management, or related discipline, and 7-8 years related experience in a materials or manufacturing environment, or equivalent.
Requires strong skills in change management, problem solving, written and verbal communication, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, human resources management, team skills, and quality. Requires proficiency in Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDM, and End Item MPS Workbench.
