Job Title:  Safety Manager

Responsibilities:
Manages and directs the activities of the Safety function and staff.
Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
Provides EH&S presentations to Applied Materials Customer in Europe.
Works closely with selected customers in Europe on EH&S programs.
Develops and implements E H&S training programs for European operations and exposures.
Communicates Environmental Safety & Health issues to all necessary management and employees.
Develops, monitors, and controls the budget for European safety operations.
Ensures compliance with company and/or local codes, standards, and regulations.
Investigates accidents or incidents and analyzes pertinent data. Documents results.
Generates necessary reports and documentation.

Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills
Willingness to work with legal requirements
Willingness to learn and get up to speed with new requirements
Ability to provide training to employees working in a new environment
Reporting internally and externally, as well as co-operation with customer site counterparts
Willingness to travel and support multiple customers
Fluent in English – written and spoken
Preferred: fluency in German

Education and Experience:
BS degree in a technical discipline or Industrial Safety
Certified Safety Professional (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
7 years of Industrial Safety Experience, incl. 4+ years project managementAnd 3+ years in Semiconductor Environment
